Associate Construction Manager

Location: Conesville, Ohio, United States. Travel may be required to support additional projects across North America and potentially LATAM, South America, and EMEA.

What you will do

• Support data center construction projects from inception through customer or business turnover, with emphasis on preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Provide project leadership for ground-up construction, remodels, renovations, and fit-outs while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Coordinate cross-functional work groups spanning design, engineering, procurement, operations, IT/network, finance, legal, sales, and solutions architecture.
• Manage relationships with general contractors, MEP and CSA trade partners, design firms, commissioning agents, authorities having jurisdiction, and other vendors.
• Support budgets, cost forecasting, design-phase cost decisions, schedules, contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and project documentation.
• Inspect work in place and work in progress, report project status and risks, and support continuous improvement of construction management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of progressive experience managing commercial construction projects or programs; data center experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of lean construction methodologies, project delivery methods, contract methods, building construction, and project management processes.
• Working knowledge of data center design and the ability to evaluate drawings, specifications, contracts, and other construction documents.
• Competency in CPM scheduling, construction cost estimating, proposal development, document management, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and other industry software, with strong leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and collaboration skills.
