Sr. Lead Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor)

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Lead the technical development of valves, tubing, fittings, and related fluid handling components.
• Conceptualize, design, prototype, test, qualify, and release new and derivative products to manufacturing.
• Lead or co-lead new product introduction and technology development projects through phase-gate processes.
• Manage design reviews, DFMEA, documentation, schedules, risks, resources, cost estimates, and regulatory certification.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, product management, customers, suppliers, and international resources.
• Troubleshoot design and quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and 7+ years of directly related experience.
• Experience leading product launches, design improvements, and technologies into manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience designing, fabricating, testing, and qualifying mechanical products and equipment.
• Knowledge of materials and material properties, FEA, thermal and fluid dynamics, kinematics and dynamics, dimensioning and tolerancing, and failure modes.
• Proficiency with solid modeling and manufacturing drawing tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or ProE.

Nice to have

• Advanced engineering degree or professional engineering license.
• Knowledge of semiconductor hardware, metrology, and manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with ANSYS, MATLAB, Minitab, Autodesk, or SAP PLM.
• Experience with plating, polishing, anodizing, finishing, inspection, machining, and molding processes.
