Field Application Engineer/Mechanical (Advanced Electronics)

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri; support for the Southeast region from Florida through Virginia and Maryland. Candidates may be located anywhere in the region, with preference for Florida through Virginia. Extensive customer-site travel of approximately 50% may be required.

What you will do

• Work with OEM engineers, manufacturers' representatives, distribution partners, and territory sales managers to implement solutions for existing and next-generation customer programs.
• Attend customer meetings, provide technical design support, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Develop mechanical, thermal, electromagnetic, and electrical design solutions using hirify.global products and materials.
• Present modeling and simulation results, support prototypes and initial production builds, and meet stakeholder timelines.
• Create and release production documentation with critical dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing constraints.
• Lead multidisciplinary product development teams and coordinate multiple concurrent programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field.
• 6–10 years of experience in a similar position, including experience designing and manufacturing electronic devices and systems.
• 3–5 years of component- or subsystem-level design experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in thermal management, EMI management, or microwave absorbers.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or multiphysics software such as Abaqus, HFSS, Icepak, or COMSOL, plus an understanding of finite element or finite difference modeling.
• Experience with electronics system architecture, customer engagement, technical presentations, and cross-functional product development.
