Senior Designer, Mechanical Design

Location: Taicang, Jiangsu, China; onsite five days per week

Company

Develops sustainable and efficient climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation through Trane and Thermo King businesses.

What you will do

• Develop, upgrade, and maintain AP Chiller products.
• Perform concept design and technical selection based on customer requirements.
• Create and maintain 3D layouts, 2D drawings, bills of materials, BIM deliverables, and product engineering database documentation.
• Provide technical support for original designs, design adjustments, and engineering changes.
• Support testing of new components, assemblies, and complete systems, as well as VAVE projects.
• Complete assigned engineering tasks as an individual contributor under supervision while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of general design principles and engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Pro/E or Creo for 3D modeling and 2D drafting; finite element knowledge is preferred.
• BIM and cabling skills are prioritized.
• Effective English reading and writing communication; CET-6 certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing knowledge in sheet metal, tubing, machining, casting, and assembly.
• Experience in the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
