Manager, Accounting (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC, United States, with in-office presence 2–3 days per week. Candidates must be in or near Charlotte or plan to relocate. Visa sponsorship is not currently offered.

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 base pay annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Manage general accounting and month-end close activities across revenue, expenses, accounts receivable, invoicing, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Lead a team of two senior accountants supporting multiple products and accounting processes.
• Oversee customer billing, cash receipts, payment application, invoice inquiries, and payment discrepancies.
• Perform credit memo reserve and ASC 606 analyses and prepare quarter-end memos, reporting disclosures, and analysis for the SEC team.
• Coordinate with technology teams to reconcile source systems with the accounting ERP and troubleshoot transaction discrepancies.
• Design accounting processes, maintain SOX controls, manage accounting projects, and support auditors and business partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience and supervisory experience.
• Experience with technical accounting analysis and memo writing.
• Strong knowledge of revenue, accounts receivable, billing, General Ledger, and GAAP requirements.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to use AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and accounting processes.
