Senior Accounting Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Oversee general ledger accounting and monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Provide technical guidance on complex accounting matters and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Design, implement, monitor, and document business process controls supporting SOX compliance and operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop accounting staff as a player/coach.
• Partner with Finance, Engineering, Legal, IT, auditors, and consultants to resolve accounting issues and deliver results.
• Drive continuous improvement and scalability across the accounting function in a fast-paced, publicly traded technology company.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining Big Four public accounting and industry roles.
• Demonstrated experience with deep general ledger accounting processes and leading teams through monthly and quarterly close cycles.
• Significant experience building and managing business process controls in a SOX environment, preferably at a public company.
• Expertise in technical GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, and influencing skills, with a player/coach approach and commitment to mentoring and staff development.
• CPA certification required.
• Strong understanding of SOX compliance related to financial reporting controls.
• Experience working in a dynamic, high-growth environment such as a recently public technology company.
