Maintenance Technician (Cypress, TX) (Robotics)

What you will do

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical, material handling, automated, building, and grounds equipment.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose problems, complete repairs, and recommend ways to reduce recurring issues.
• Record work performed, parts used, task durations, and assignments in designated software and work orders.
• Read and interpret specifications, diagrams, manuals, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts in coordination with management and distribution.
• Follow applicable safety procedures and codes, attend training, and communicate with onsite and international team members.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent and at least three years of experience maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, or facilities in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and other technical documents, and to write reports and procedures.
• Ability to respond effectively to staff, management, and technical representatives.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software including Google Suite, Slack, Microsoft Visual Studio, command prompts, and ClickUp.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including on-call or standby coverage, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work at heights with fall protection equipment and lift or move more than 50 pounds occasionally.

• Practical problem-solving skills in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
• Ability to identify and correct unsafe conditions, prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of probability, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
