Hardware Technician (Robotics)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, US; onsite

Base salary: USD $105,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Build, assemble, disassemble, maintain, and modify robotic stations and supporting hardware.
• Assist with custom parts, mounts, fixtures, prototypes, and other fabrication work for R&D and deployments.
• Operate shop tools and equipment, maintain organized workspaces, and manage shop inventory.
• Package, ship, receive, track, and replenish hardware, spare parts, and deployment equipment.
• Support onsite installations, testing, repairs, troubleshooting, and hardware upgrades in lab and customer environments.
• Work with engineering and operations teams to keep builds, deployments, and technical tasks moving efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma, trade school certification, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in a shop, manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, robotics, warehouse, or technical environment preferred.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, drill presses, band saws, grinders, and other shop equipment.
• Experience assembling, repairing, or modifying mechanical systems and hardware.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, organization, reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work safely with equipment.
• Ability to lift and move equipment safely and work onsite in a fast-paced hardware environment.

Nice to have

• Mechatronics, robotics, automotive, fabrication, or technical trade background.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, low-voltage wiring, sensors, or electromechanical systems.
• Welding, machining, CAD, custom fabrication, field installation, customer deployment, warehouse, forklift, or material-handling experience.
