Sr Financial Analyst

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; hybrid schedule based in the Reston office

Salary: $89,900–$121,700 annual base salary, with potential discretionary bonus and stock awards for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Prepare zero-based annual operating budgets and quarterly forecasts for marketing and other operating expenses, including headcount.
• Analyze actual versus budget performance and provide commentary on operating and direct marketing expenses.
• Create and present ad hoc financial reports and maintain vendor-level trending analysis.
• Support month-end close activities, including account analysis, journal entries, general ledger validation, purchase order review, expense coding, and SOX reporting.
• Partner with FP&A leadership and business unit managers to develop forecasts and explain the financial impact of business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of finance or accounting experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical skills and experience gathering and analyzing financial and operational data.
• Hands-on experience with financial modeling, accounting, and audit principles and practices.
• Experience working in highly matrixed environments with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally Oracle Financials.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, calculations, and formulas.
