Strategic Finance Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada, with in-office days for connection and collaboration

Salary: CA$150K–CA$175K per year, plus equity options and benefits

What you will do

• Own financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and the core analytical models.
• Produce timely financial results, variance analyses, and performance insights.
• Partner with GTM, Product, and People teams to translate financial data into actionable recommendations.
• Analyze unit economics, including CAC, LTV, payback periods, gross margin, and sales efficiency.
• Support capital allocation decisions and investment case analysis.
• Respond to executive analytical requests, including deep dives and rapid-turnaround data analysis.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or strategic finance at a high-growth technology or fintech company.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including financial statements, forecasting, and technology-industry metrics.
• Strong understanding of SaaS and fintech metrics such as CAC, LTV, payback periods, gross margin, and sales efficiency.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally, structuring ambiguous problems, and supporting initiatives from zero to one.
• Ability to synthesize complex analysis into concise takeaways for non-finance stakeholders.
• Self-starter mindset, strong ownership, adaptability, and interest in technology and the startup ecosystem.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• CPA, MBA, or another advanced degree.
