Finance Manager (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Toronto, Canada (five-day-a-week in-office commitment)

Compensation: CA$80,000 – CA$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and manage the month-end close process.
• Prepare monthly financial statements under IFRS and support external audit requirements.
• Build and scale internal controls, financial systems, and reporting infrastructure.
• Partner with the Head of Finance on investor reporting and strategic decision-making.
• Develop tools and frameworks to track KPIs, unit economics, and cash flow.
• Design finance-related processes integrated with the product and automate manual workflows.

Requirements

• CPA designation with 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting under IFRS.
• Experience in financial services, lending, or structured credit.
• Comfort working independently in Excel and building reporting from scratch.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Toronto for a five-day-a-week in-office role.

Nice to have

• Experience starting in Big 4 audit.
• Exposure to FP&A, financial modelling, or investor reporting.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Google Studio.
