TL;DR
Program Materials Planner (Supply Chain): Coordinating materials planning and Engineer-to-Order programs from initial concepts through post-production with an accent on BOM, MRP, MPS, inventory optimization, and cross-functional manufacturing coordination. Focus on closing material gaps, maintaining raw material and component flow, improving planning processes, and analyzing data to support contractual production schedules.

Location: Carlsbad, California office; hybrid schedule with three days per week onsite. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Salary: $121,000–$191,500 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $150,500–$225,500 annually.

What you will do

  • Own materials plans for assigned Engineer-to-Order programs, including government contracts, and close gaps affecting schedules.
  • Plan demand using Bills of Materials, Material Requirements Planning, and Master Production Schedules.
  • Coordinate with production control, engineering, procurement, and program management to meet material requirements.
  • Maintain the flow of raw materials, sub-assemblies, and purchased parts for contractual builds.
  • Improve planning processes and optimize inventory using Just-in-Time and related techniques.
  • Apply data analysis to improve planning and program outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a quantitative field.
  • In-depth knowledge of MRP, MPS, EVMS, EAC/ETC, and Clear-to-Build principles.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory management techniques.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence without direct authority.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to work from the Carlsbad office three days per week are required.

Nice to have

  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • APICS CPSM or CPIM certification.
  • Experience in R&D environments or with external contract manufacturers.
  • Experience working in multifunctional teams and developing planning or analysis tools.
