Senior Material Planner I (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements, and the role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Base pay: $82,000–$105,000 USD annually in California. Level and compensation vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

What you will do

• Manage demand, supply, and fulfillment planning for all manufactured and purchased parts within MRP.
• Maintain bills of materials, parts, and master data in ERP systems.
• Release purchase planning messages to procurement and work orders to production on schedule.
• Update demand and planning data in response to engineering change orders and communicate changes to procurement.
• Create material-position visibility through line-of-balance, material-shortage, and clear-to-build reports.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, production, supply chain, and finance to support production schedules and company-wide goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 9+ years of total work experience.
• Proven ability to produce material line-of-balance reports and conduct clear-to-build reviews.
• Knowledge of material-planning fundamentals, including master data, order policy, BOM management, planning release, and fulfillment.
• Proficiency with MRP systems, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, mathematics, and statistics.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

• Experience in aerospace, electric-vehicle automotive, or other disruptive manufacturing industries.
• Experience in a rapidly growing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with AS9100 and U.S. export controls.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
