Founding Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in SF/Bay Area, Austin, or New York, United States. Willingness to travel for on-site deployments or customer engagements is required.

What you will do

• Identify high-impact, multi-step customer tasks suitable for automation.
• Integrate AI agents with customer databases, third-party APIs, and internal systems.
• Iterate rapidly with customers to improve product fit and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Architect, build, and maintain production-grade services that scale with usage and complexity.
• Collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams to shape the roadmap based on field findings.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional AI and software engineering experience or equivalent proven technical experience.
• Experience integrating AI/ML systems, LLMs, or agentic workflows into production products.
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with backend and frontend frameworks such as FastAPI, Next.js, and React, plus a good understanding of UI/UX tradeoffs.
• Experience building and deploying production APIs, services, infrastructure, or data pipelines.
• Customer-facing experience, strong communication skills, secure systems integration expertise, and the ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments.
