Forward Deployed Engineer Intern (AI)

What you will do

• Architect and ship multimodal AI agents for essential service companies.
• Work directly with enterprise stakeholders to map workflows and deploy solutions that improve revenue outcomes.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle from design and implementation through rollout, measurement, and iteration.
• Build reliable systems supporting thousands of concurrent interactions with strong performance.
• Evaluate, fine-tune, and A/B test text and voice models in rapid feedback loops.
• Identify cross-customer patterns and opportunities to inform product and engineering roadmaps.

Requirements

• Availability for a 12-week internship starting between winter 2026 and summer 2027; earlier starts are preferred.
• Experience building and maintaining production systems with Python, including asyncio and FastAPI.
• Experience with TypeScript, Node, and React.
• Hands-on experience with LLM, TTS, and speech APIs, model fine-tuning, vector databases, RAG, and evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to meet SLAs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systems for speed and reliability at scale.
• Comfort engaging directly with customers to troubleshoot problems, understand edge cases, and deliver solutions.
