Senior Quality Engineer (Transformers)

Location: Houston, TX; full-time onsite work is expected, except for bi-weekly work-from-home Fridays.

What you will do

• Own transformer quality end-to-end at the Houston factory and execute the ISO 9001 quality management system.
• Establish and operate IQC, IPQC, FAT, and OQC quality gates, including inspections, sampling plans, and transformer testing.
• Manage supplier qualifications, evaluations, audits, incoming inspections, and SCAR corrective actions.
• Lead plant quality technicians and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
• Investigate defects and non-conformances, prepare NCR and FAI documentation, and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Represent Quality during customer complaints, warranty claims, audits, onsite FAT witnessing, and site acceptance.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in the transformer industry.
• Strong understanding of transformer manufacturing processes and material specifications.
• Experience with ISO 9001, supplier quality, inspections, testing, and quality documentation.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and manage multiple projects.
• Proven ability to manage cross-border engineering and production teams.
