Supplier Quality Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be based in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or U.S. Remote (On-site role)

Salary: $155,000 – $262,000

What you will do

• Own supplier quality for electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, UPS, and busway from qualification through delivery.
• Conduct factory audits and witness testing (FAT, routine tests) at electrical OEM facilities worldwide.
• Define inspection and test requirements in purchase orders to ensure contractual quality standards.
• Drive corrective actions on quality escapes and track supplier performance data to inform future award decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain supply chain velocity and schedule compression.

Requirements

• Proven experience in supplier quality or witness testing for major electrical equipment.
• Ability to critically read and interpret electrical test reports.
• Experience holding OEMs to test standards despite schedule pressures.
• Willingness and ability to travel to factories worldwide.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IEEE and ANSI switchgear standards.
• Experience with transformer testing, UPS, and battery systems.
• NETA or NICET credentials.
