Inventory Control Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Torrance, California, United States; hybrid schedule with typically four days onsite and one day remote

Salary: $109,240–$150,210 USD per year

What you will do

• Govern inventory transactions to ensure they accurately reflect physical activity, use the correct accounting period, and follow documented standards.
• Validate operational data, inventory movements, production activity, material dispositions, and applicable labor or machine-hour records.
• Maintain inventory master data, including item attributes and costing definitions, and remediate incomplete, duplicate, or outdated records.
• Lead quarterly cycle counts, annual physical inventory, reconciliations, variance investigations, approvals, and documentation.
• Develop inventory control procedures, KPIs, scorecards, governance standards, and sustainable corrective actions.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Production, Program Management, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and IT to improve data quality and inventory accuracy.

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in inventory control, inventory operations, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory flow, production workflows, inventory tracking, ERP transaction processing, and inventory control process design.
• Experience with reconciliations, KPIs, scorecards, variance analysis, root-cause investigation, and corrective actions.
• Advanced Excel skills for analyzing ERP, production, inventory, and operational data.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, hardware, automotive, or other complex manufacturing environments.
• Experience developing inventory controls during rapid growth, ERP implementations, system migrations, or manufacturing transformations.
• Oracle Fusion experience.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
