Medical Assistant - Elwood, IN - 40 hours Weekly with Benefits and PTO

Location: Onsite in Elwood, Indiana, United States

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review patient information, collect updates, take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations under provider direction and written orders.
• Coordinate scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical records, referrals, specialist visits, and outside care.
• Document accurate patient data, process test results, and communicate results according to provider instructions.
• Support individualized care plans and conduct patient outreach to improve engagement and close gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant; primary care experience is preferred.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is preferred and required in states where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Primary care experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.
