Network Engineers, Senior Engineers & Architects (CBP)

Location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States; hybrid workplace. U.S. Citizenship required.

Signing bonus: $10,000 for candidates with an active CBP BI and EOD, payable after 90 days under standard terms. Salary range pending.

What you will do

• Design, build, operate, and sustain network infrastructure for U.S. Customs and Border Protection sites.
• Work across routing and switching, WAN and LAN transport, wireless, segmentation, and firewalls.
• Modernize live infrastructure within approved change windows while maintaining continuous operations.
• Resolve incidents, identify root causes, and improve network reliability at distributed and remote sites.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, standards, and searchable troubleshooting documentation.
• Collaborate with field deployment teams, cloud engineers, and security staff.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and hybrid work in Ashburn, Virginia, United States are required.
• Experience operating distributed networks where downtime has significant operational consequences.
• Experience modernizing live infrastructure under change control and working with remote or austere sites.
• Experience in mixed-vendor network environments, including Cisco, Juniper, and Arista technologies.
• Ability to work within federal change management and accreditation processes.
• An active CBP BI and EOD, another DHS fitness determination, or an active DoD clearance is strongly preferred; candidates without one may begin CBP BI processing.

Nice to have

• CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIP certification.
• Active CBP BI and EOD, which may shorten the start date and qualify for the signing bonus.
