Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Network Engineer (Cisco)

What you will do

• Design, configure, optimize, and maintain high-availability routed and switched networks across on-premises infrastructure and Azure GovCloud.
• Manage Cisco ISR 4000 routers, Nexus switches, ASA and FTD firewalls, FMC, Cisco ISE, AnyConnect VPN, and Secure Endpoint remote access VPN.
• Support two networks spanning more than 100 remote sites, including LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, and web-based technologies.
• Create network diagrams and modernization concepts for current and future infrastructure.
• Manage incidents and coordinate with service providers and other agencies to maintain network continuity.
• Use SolarWinds for configuration management, performance monitoring, alerting, and repository management.

Requirements

• Top Secret clearance required; candidates with an active Secret clearance may be considered.
• At least five years of experience planning, designing, troubleshooting, and optimizing network configurations and architectures.
• Experience managing Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, high-availability networks, and related software and firmware upgrades.
• Proficiency with Cisco ISR 4000, Nexus, ASA, FTD, FMC, AnyConnect, Cisco ISE, URL filtering, and SSL inspection.
• Experience deploying security templates and configuration baselines in accordance with agency guidelines such as DoD STIGs.
• Experience with application load balancers, systems development life cycles, security controls, incident management, and IT infrastructure support.

Nice to have

• CCNA Route and Switch – Data Center or CCNP Route and Switch experience.
• Experience with Cisco AMP, UCS, Duo MFA, Wi-Fi technologies, wireless controllers, CradlePoint, Palo Alto, or WAN bonding.
• Experience with Azure networking tools, Azure Gov custom ARM templates, and SMS gateway services.
