Network Engineer (SD-WAN)

Location: Wilmington, Delaware; ideally on-site in a hybrid setup. Other East Coast locations may be considered.

What you will do

• Deliver network technology deployments, lifecycle refreshes, migrations, and infrastructure projects across North American sites.
• Operate and support LAN switching and routing, WLAN controllers and access points, and SD-WAN environments.
• Resolve L2/L3 incidents and problems while maintaining network availability, security, and performance.
• Perform proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning using SNMP, NetFlow, and monitoring tools.
• Coordinate with vendors, carriers, cross-functional teams, and global EMEA/AP stakeholders.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or a related field.
• 8+ years of enterprise networking experience covering both project engineering and operations.
• Strong expertise in LAN switching and routing, including Cisco or Fortinet equipment and OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Enterprise-scale WLAN deployment and support experience, including controllers, access points, 802.1X, and RF tuning.
• Hands-on SD-WAN design and operations experience, with Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN and Cisco networking equipment required.
• CCNP certification, or CCNA certification with strong practical experience; knowledge of network security fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infoblox, LogicMonitor, Fortinet products, and Palo Alto Prisma VPN and firewalls.
• Network migrations during mergers and spin-offs.
• Enterprise Voice or Unified Communications experience, including Microsoft Teams Voice, Direct Routing, voice gateways, or SBCs.
• Network automation and infrastructure-as-code skills using Python and Ansible.
• SD-WAN or wireless vendor certifications.
