Network Engineer

Location: Wilmington, Delaware, United States; ideally onsite in a hybrid setup. Other East Coast locations may be considered.

What you will do

• Deliver new technology deployments, lifecycle refreshes, and infrastructure projects across North American sites.
• Own steady-state LAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN operations, including switching, routing, wireless controllers, access points, 802.1X, RF tuning, and SD-WAN fabric support.
• Perform network upgrades and migrations while minimizing business disruption.
• Resolve L2/L3 incidents and problems, conduct proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and cross-functional teams, and collaborate with global EMEA/AP teams.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or a related field.
• 8+ years of enterprise networking experience covering both project engineering and operations.
• Strong LAN switching and routing expertise with Cisco or Fortinet.
• Enterprise-scale WLAN deployment and support experience.
• Hands-on SD-WAN design and operations experience, including Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN.
• CCNP certification, or CCNA certification with strong experience; knowledge of network security fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Infoblox, LogicMonitor, Fortinet, Palo Alto Prisma VPN and firewall experience.
• Network migrations during mergers and spin-offs.
• Enterprise Voice or Unified Communications experience, including Microsoft Teams Voice, Direct Routing, voice gateways, or SBCs.
• Network automation and infrastructure-as-code skills with Python and Ansible.
