Director Construction - Major Project Groups

Location: Remote/traveling, aligned with North Dakota Central Time; extensive travel required

Salary: $215,562–$312,565 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Lead construction management across assigned market segments or major projects through project managers and site supervision.
• Build strategic client relationships, identify client needs, and strengthen project and company performance.
• Oversee project objectives, schedules, budgets, corporate policies, quality programs, safety programs, and risk management.
• Monitor financial performance, including receivables, cash flow, cost control, income and expenses, and cost-to-complete reporting.
• Develop project managers and future construction leaders through coaching, mentoring, evaluations, training, and varied assignments.
• Collaborate with general superintendents and peer directors on staffing, team composition, promotions, wage reviews, and bonus reviews.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of directly relevant experience with large, complex mega-projects and experience leading multiple project teams simultaneously.
• Knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, construction management, financial management, construction design, contracts, regulations, and cost control systems.
• Strong understanding of construction engineering and design, electrical construction, and power delivery.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, supervisory, conflict management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Office, Primavera, and CTCnet skills; valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Nice to have

• Experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Ability to influence without direct authority.
• PMP certification.
