Field Solutions Engineer - Public Sector

Location: Remote, with residence in California required, supporting the Southern California territory. Travel to company, partner, and customer events is required.

Annual compensation: $160,000–$220,000, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies with account teams.
• Design and propose infrastructure solutions aligned with customer objectives, needs, and budgets.
• Identify opportunities across data center, cloud, network, security, collaboration, and services.
• Build technical relationships with OEMs, strategic partners, and public-sector customers.
• Provide product training, technical education, and technical selling support to sales teams and customers.
• Manage solution-practice pipelines and engage with CIOs, IT directors, CTOs, and other client stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role or complex data center sales opportunities.
• Experience designing hybrid cloud, hyperconverged, software-defined data center, IaaS/PaaS, automation, containerization, and data center management solutions.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, hypervisors, server virtualization, software-defined data centers, containerization, and automation.
• Expertise with technologies including Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, high availability, backup and recovery, data protection, mirroring, clustering, and active/standby or active/active architectures.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience required.

• Advanced certification in Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or Nutanix.
