Professional Learning Specialist - ELA (Education Technology)

Location: Based in Chicago, Illinois; this is not a remote position. Candidates must live within 30 miles of the posting location or be willing to relocate to Chicago. Travel up to 80% is required, including possible overnight, out-of-state, car, plane, and public transportation travel. A valid driver's license is required.

Salary: $60,750–$99,750 per year.

What you will do

• Deliver targeted professional development and ongoing classroom support for teachers, coaches, and district leaders in K–8 ELA and Reading.
• Help districts select, adopt, and implement Ready, i-Ready, and related core and supplemental products.
• Analyze assessment and instructional data with educators and leaders to support lesson planning, pacing, and classroom learning.
• Develop and revise annual professional learning plans and schedules with district and site leaders.
• Monitor program implementation, identify successes and challenges, and support district-wide adoptions.
• Collaborate with sales teams, teachers, students, school districts, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching ELA or Reading, coaching ELA or Reading teachers, or providing related professional development.
• Experience using digital tools and online assessments, with comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional learning.
• Ability to manage, monitor, evaluate, and maintain the integrity of program implementations.
• Ability to provide high-quality classroom coaching and knowledge of K–8 ELA or Reading state standards.
• Must be based near Chicago, Illinois, or willing to relocate; willingness to travel within the designated territory and to company meetings is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in ELA or Reading.
• Bilingual and biliterate English/Spanish communication skills.
