Education Specialist, Mathematics (EdTech)

Location: Los Angeles; open to candidates across the U.S. ready to relocate. Travel to schools and districts is required for 30–50% of the role.

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 base salary annually. On-target earnings are $130,000 with uncapped upside.

What you will do

• Serve as a math education specialist supporting implementation and transforming how teachers teach mathematics.
• Design and deliver personalized professional development journeys, coaching plans, workshops, and training sessions.
• Coach teachers in real classrooms through observations, live modeling, and feedback cycles.
• Help schools develop thinking classrooms where students reason, explore, and engage deeply with mathematics.
• Drive measurable improvements in teacher confidence, student engagement, and conceptual understanding.
• Build relationships with schools and districts, lead success-planning conversations, and develop a regional community of math educators.

Requirements

• Strong training in mathematics and teaching; elementary math teaching experience is beneficial.
• Expertise in building relationships and generating opportunities with district-level administrators or equivalent stakeholders.
• Strong educator-to-educator communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Passion for bringing cutting-edge education research into classrooms.
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach suited to building from scratch in an early-stage environment.
• Willingness to travel and visit schools and classrooms across the region.
