Designated Support Engineer — Premium Support (Connectivity)

Location: United States; remote role supporting a US Government agency. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) is required.

Annual salary: $97,500–$131,625 gross before taxes.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical contact for customer IT staff and end users.
• Provide proactive and reactive support for Infoconnect Desktop, Secure Host Access, and related connectivity products.
• Troubleshoot product issues, escalate to third-line engineering when needed, and own incidents through resolution.
• Build detailed knowledge of the customer's infrastructure, configurations, workflows, and operational processes.
• Identify potential issues, product gaps, and customer needs, communicating findings to account and product teams.
• Document issues, resolutions, environment-specific configurations, and collaborate with account, professional services, and product management teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical support or IT role.
• Solid Linux/Unix knowledge, including command-line troubleshooting and system administration.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Perl for automation and log analysis.
• Hands-on experience with containerized application deployments and Kubernetes, including cluster management, pod scheduling, resource configuration, and workload troubleshooting.
• Understanding of enterprise networking and security, including TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers, TLS/SSL, PKI, Kerberos, and LDAP.
• Strong written and verbal communication, a methodical troubleshooting approach, and eligibility for the U.S. Government MBI investigation.
