Network Deployment Engineer (Networking)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Atlanta, Denver, or New York. Candidates progressing to the offer stage may be asked to attend an in-person interview at a hirify.global office or hub.

Salary: $114,000–$157,000 annual salary for Colorado and Illinois-based hires; $126,000–$173,000 annual salary for New York City, Washington, and Washington, D.C.-based hires. Compensation may vary by work location.

What you will do

• Build out and expand hirify.global’s global network infrastructure in collaboration with SRE and Network Engineering.
• Coordinate data center installations, upgrades, rack elevations, cabling, and cross-connects.
• Manage hardware vendors, data center and network providers, logistics partners, and remote contractors.
• Define, document, and implement consistent infrastructure deployment and visibility processes.
• Identify and implement scalable automation and technology improvements for network operations.
• Support operational planning, scheduling, prioritization, status reporting, and project execution.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of data center or Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration and network hardware administration.
• Basic experience with configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Ability to write scripts for internal tools and improve operational processes.
• Familiarity with data center operations, infrastructure projects, and remote contractor coordination.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, or a related technical field.
• Experience with data center infrastructure, DCIM tools, and lights-out or out-of-band access.
• Knowledge of the OSI model, network troubleshooting, Linux certifications, or scripting in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Familiarity with load balancers and reverse proxies such as Nginx, Varnish, HAProxy, or Apache.
• Multilingual experience or work with infrastructure across multiple countries.
