TL;DR
Senior Engineer II - Systems Design (Integration, Linux + Programming) (Linux, networking, and hardware integration): Developing, integrating, and maintaining complex networked systems that bridge hardware and software domains with an accent on Linux administration, network configuration, automation scripting, and secure system integration. Focus on translating customer requirements into system architectures, troubleshooting physical and virtual environments, automating deployments and testing, and remediating vulnerabilities in classified or compliance-based environments.

Location: CO - Home Office, United States; up to 30% domestic and international travel may be required. Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; active Top Secret clearance required.

Annual base salary: $70,304–$205,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

  • Configure, administer, and troubleshoot network switches, routers, and related infrastructure.
  • Integrate and administer Linux systems, including user management, service configuration, hardening, and deployment.
  • Develop Python and Bash automation for provisioning, testing, monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Support hardware setup, cabling, system bring-up, integration, testing, and deployment at customer and partner sites.
  • Translate customer requirements into system architectures, block diagrams, integration requirements, and technical documentation.
  • Present system capabilities and integration status, participate in design reviews, and collaborate with architects, developers, and test engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 7.5–10 years of directly related experience.
  • Experience with network architecture and switch configuration, such as Cisco or Juniper.
  • Strong Linux administration and integration experience with RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and shell scripting, plus hands-on hardware integration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools and STIG compliance; active Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

  • CCNA, RHCSA, Network+, or similar certification.
  • Mercurial or Git version control and CI/CD pipeline experience.
  • Virtualization or containerization experience with VMware, Docker, or similar tools.
  • Experience with secure system design or classified and restricted network environments.
