What you will do

• Develop and deploy vacuum equipment for deposition, reactive etching, and annealing in a manufacturing setting.
• Build factory automation systems using C#, Python, and R to enhance tool performance.
• Implement systematic tool control methods, including KPIV controls and Out-of-Control Action Plans (OCAPs).
• Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to maximize tool performance and minimize variability.
• Oversee the installation, modification, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Integrate AI-driven workflows to optimize operational performance.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Bloomington, MN, US.
• Experience with wafer manufacturing and semiconductor production equipment.
• Hands-on experience with vacuum-related tooling (PVD, CVD, ALD, ion beam milling, ICP etching, or annealing).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (Six Sigma, JMP, Minitab) and DOE methodologies.
• Background in computer hardware or programming.
• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical/Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field with 5+ years of experience (or Master's with 3+ years / PhD).
