Field Service Technician (Semiconductor Vacuum Equipment)

Location: Santa Clara, California, USA; customer sites across the U.S. West Coast. Travel of up to 50% may be required, including travel during initial training.

Base annual salary: $75,000–$95,000. Total target compensation: $82,500–$104,500, including a 10% target profit-sharing component.

What you will do

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on hirify.global leak detectors at customer sites and the Santa Clara service center.
• Support initial equipment setup, basic operational training, and customer education on leak-detection best practices.
• Provide technical and application support while identifying customer needs for accessories and new products.
• Share feedback on products, customer accounts, competitive trends, service techniques, and applications with internal stakeholders.
• Use SAP and CRM systems to prepare customer quotes and process service orders.
• Maintain ISO 9001 procedures and records and recommend improvements to service strategies and processes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience repairing semiconductor vacuum equipment.
• Associate of Science degree in a technical field, or equivalent technical or military experience and/or certification.
• Strong interpersonal, adaptability, customer service, and self-directed work skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; CRM and SAP experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 75 pounds daily.
• Ability to maintain prolonged visual concentration on small or detailed areas.
