Director, Finance – Mid-Atlantic Region

Location: Hybrid schedule in Washington, DC, requiring work from the office at least four days per week

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year, bonus eligible

What you will do

• Lead finance and accounting operations for the Washington, D.C. market, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, headcount reporting, and P&L and balance sheet analysis.
• Summarize financial results, identify key financial drivers and KPIs, and provide insights to regional and senior stakeholders.
• Partner with station management, department heads, and sales leadership to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Manage revenue reporting and analytics, including pacing, rate and volume analysis, programming analytics, and ad hoc sales reporting.
• Oversee accounting processes, capital investment planning, expense analysis, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
• Mentor a Senior Financial Analyst and prepare presentations, analyses, models, and special projects for executive management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 8+ years of experience in finance, public accounting, or operations.
• Experience leading and managing support staff in a global environment.
• Knowledge of GAAP and finance processes including accounts payable and general ledger.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP/AOE/BPC, with the ability to analyze and manipulate data.
• Ability to work longer hours when necessary and influence decisions across finance and non-finance teams.

• Experience in the media and entertainment industry.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience interpreting contractual terms and applying them to business operations.
• Strong process improvement, change management, communication, and presentation skills.
