Composite Technician III (Aerospace)

Location: Briggs, Texas, United States, north of Cedar Park.

What you will do

• Fabricate complex aerospace-grade composite structures, primary structures, tanks, and secondary hardware.
• Execute advanced layups, structural builds, vacuum bagging, bonding, and cure cycle operations.
• Identify scarf back plies, perform structural repairs, and troubleshoot manufacturing discrepancies.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and work instructions while supporting root cause analysis.
• Ensure AS9100 material-handling and shop organization compliance, including PPE requirements.
• Mentor junior technicians, support tooling and manufacturability discussions, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of composite manufacturing experience; aerospace experience is preferred.
• Advanced expertise in layup, bonding, and cure processes.
• Experience building flight-critical or high-complexity hardware.
• Mechanical aptitude, meticulous craftsmanship, and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with pneumatic tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations under ITAR regulations.
