Technical Product Lead - AI Platform (AI)

Location: Fully remote in the United States

Annual compensation: $135,000–$275,000, potentially including base salary and eligible variable compensation.

hirify.global manages applications for a partner company developing an AI-powered patent intelligence platform for legal and intellectual property professionals.

What you will do

• Own product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and quarterly objectives for an AI-powered patent intelligence platform.
• Identify customer opportunities across law firms, corporate IP teams, and other professional users.
• Define API-first and integration strategies and coordinate dependencies across full-stack, platform, security, and other technical teams.
• Design LLM workflows, including system prompts, tool definitions, structured outputs, and multi-step agent architectures.
• Build evaluation frameworks, rubrics, versioned prompt libraries, and attorney-reviewed gold-standard datasets to improve AI outputs.
• Work with clients, attorneys, engineers, vendors, and AI providers while managing tradeoffs involving accuracy, latency, cost, context windows, model selection, caching, and data freshness.

Requirements

• 3–10 years of combined experience in patent-domain work and B2B SaaS product management, including significant experience in high-accuracy legal or regulatory environments.
• USPTO-registered patent agent status or a JD with substantial patent prosecution or litigation experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on patent-analysis experience, such as claim charts, invalidity contentions, freedom-to-operate analyses, or office action responses.
• Strong knowledge of patent concepts, claim construction, infringement and invalidity analysis, prior art under §§102/103, prosecution history, §112 issues, and IP workflows.
• Hands-on understanding of LLM architecture, prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool calling, hallucination mitigation, multi-step agent architectures, and LLM evaluation methodologies.
• Ability to write precise product and LLM workflow specifications, manage AI cost and performance tradeoffs, communicate with clients, and work independently in an async-first environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with platforms such as Patlytics, Derwent Innovation, Orbit Intelligence, PatSnap, or Google Patents Advanced.
• Experience with LangGraph, Braintrust, Anthropic Claude API, LangSmith, GitHub, JIRA, or comparable tools.
• Technical undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
• Direct collaboration experience with patent attorneys, major law firms, or in-house IP teams.
