What you will do
- Provide relationship-based primary care, including preventive care, chronic disease management, urgent visits, and health education.
- Perform occupational health screenings, workplace injury and illness evaluations, and fitness-for-duty examinations.
- Interpret spirometry results and resting EKGs, and provide care for workplace exposures, musculoskeletal injuries, lacerations, and foreign-body injuries.
- Coordinate with employers and workersβ compensation insurers on case management, disability claims, and return-to-work consultations.
- Identify required work-related titers and vaccinations.
- Assess workplace hazards and collaborate with client managers on health and safety policies, protective measures, prevention, and treatment plans.
Requirements
- Active nurse practitioner license and current ANCC or AANP board certification.
- At least 2 years of internal medicine or family/general practice experience required.
- CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.
- Independent practice authority preferred where applicable under state regulations.
- Federal DEA number preferred and potentially required for full prescribing authority.
- Occupational medicine experience and independent family practice experience preferred.
