Director of Operations (Electrical Manufacturing)

Location: 100% in-office in Jacksonville, Florida, United States; no remote work

What you will do

• Set and execute the operating strategy for Medium Voltage Switchgear, Integrated Products, and Small Panels manufacturing.
• Coordinate production, capacity, labor, scheduling, materials, maintenance, and support priorities with business objectives and customer commitments.
• Lead customer deliverables, production recovery plans, new-product introductions, process qualifications, and manufacturing-readiness initiatives.
• Own safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, throughput, capacity, and operational performance across assigned product lines.
• Implement Lean practices, daily management systems, visual management, standard work, structured problem-solving, and KPI-driven execution.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, EHS, Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Human Resources, and other support functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
• Experience leading large-scale, high-mix, multi-stage, engineered-to-order, configure-to-order, or vertically integrated manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, capacity planning, production flow, plant layout optimization, budgeting, cost management, and capital planning.
• Experience scaling operations, leading plant-wide initiatives, implementing automation, and using digital performance-management tools.
• Background in medium-voltage switchgear, electrical distribution equipment, integrated power systems, industrial controls, or panel manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced education.
• Experience in electrical distribution, integrated power systems, industrial controls, or comparable technical manufacturing environments.
