Lead Maintenance Technician

Location: On-site in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $33.75–$35.75 per hour based on experience, plus a monthly bonus program of up to $500.

What you will do

• Maintain the property's mechanical, storage, back-of-house, and guest-facing areas.
• Perform repairs and respond to work orders, including HVAC, drywall, and other general maintenance tasks.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs, inspect equipment and common areas, and complete unit turns and onsite projects.
• Establish engineering structures, inventories, ordering systems, maintenance SOPs, and preventive maintenance plans.
• Coordinate with property leadership, the Area Chief Engineer, front-of-house staff, corporate teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Manage and delegate maintenance work when the Area Chief Engineer is absent, and train new maintenance associates.

Requirements

• High school diploma, General Education Degree, or equivalent maintenance/engineering experience.
• Background in Class-A residential buildings, hotels, or similar engineering operations.
• Ability to complete a variety of repairs independently and apply advanced general maintenance procedures.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, multitasking, and project execution skills.
• Availability for rotational weekday, weekend, holiday, evening, overtime, and possible on-call shifts.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be at least 18 years old.

Nice to have

• HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant certification.
• Experience leading by example, training maintenance associates, and coordinating building-specific work.
