Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Salary: $45.00–$51.00 per hour

What you will do

• Lead daily maintenance activities while performing hands-on troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain HVAC/R, refrigeration, electrical distribution, plumbing, mechanical equipment, building automation, compressed-air, process-cooling, and other facility utility systems.
• Respond to facility issues affecting manufacturing operations and support equipment installations, facility upgrades, and infrastructure projects.
• Perform inspections and general building maintenance, including carpentry, drywall, painting, doors, ceilings, lighting, and flooring repairs.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and document completed work in CMMS.
• Mentor maintenance technicians, coordinate specialized contractor work, and follow OSHA, EPA, and Lockout/Tagout safety requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• EPA Universal certification is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair experience across industrial HVAC/R, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and utility systems.
• High school diploma or GED required; ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and the ability to prioritize requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely operate powered equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.

Nice to have

• Technical trade school or apprenticeship.
• Previous Lead Maintenance Technician experience or experience mentoring technicians.
• CMMS software experience.
• Forklift and aerial lift certification, or ability to obtain certification.
