What you will do
- Fabricate aerospace-grade composite components for production and development programs.
- Cut and kit composite materials to tight tolerances and perform bonding operations.
- Execute hand lamination using carbon, fiberglass, Kevlar, film adhesives, and core materials.
- Run vacuum bag cure cycles, including debulking and oven monitoring, according to manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret composite layup drawings and manufacturing instructions, including scarfing back plies when required.
- Maintain material traceability, shop organization, PPE compliance, and support process improvements.
Requirements
- 2+ years of composite manufacturing experience.
- Ability to independently execute composite builds with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with pneumatic tools, hand tools, and precision measurement instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret composite layup and assembly prints.
- Experience working with material data sheets and strong attention to detail.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR regulations.
