Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Location: New York City or remote within the USA; NYC-based employees have a hybrid setup with remote Fridays.

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 annual total compensation, plus potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Own and evolve secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Build infrastructure as code with Terraform and improve CI/CD, deployment, and release automation.
• Manage Kubernetes and containerized workloads, cloud networking, identity, storage, databases, secrets, DNS, and load balancing.
• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance observability with Datadog.
• Improve reliability, uptime, scalability, disaster recovery, and incident response while reducing manual operational work.
• Define the cloud and DevOps roadmap, support high-scale AI/ML workloads, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Engineering, Security, and compliance teams on SOC 2, ISO, and FedRAMP certifications.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure, or a closely related discipline.
• Expert-level experience with both AWS and Azure is required.
• Strong experience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, IAM, secrets management, encryption, least-privilege access, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Strong Linux administration, troubleshooting, scripting, and programming skills with Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
• Ability to own infrastructure from architecture through implementation and operations, respond to incidents, make independent technical decisions, and communicate effectively with engineering and security teams.
