DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Fully remote for candidates based in the mainland United States or Canada

Salary: US $155,000–$190,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own and continuously improve the security posture, including access controls, secrets management, vulnerability triage, and audit logging.
• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure with Terraform for millions of browser sessions daily.
• Partner with product and engineering teams on infrastructure assessments, security reviews, developer tooling, and CI/CD workflows.
• Participate in the engineering on-call rotation and lead incident mitigation through resolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience deploying and operating containerized applications in AWS.
• 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
• Working knowledge of networking, including firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPC architecture and peering, and zero-trust network access.
• Working knowledge of cloud security practices, including least-privilege IAM, secrets management, API authentication, audit logging, network segmentation, and vulnerability triage.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker, and orchestration tools, plus working knowledge of MongoDB and/or relational databases.
• Experience with SOC 2, GDPR, or similar legal and compliance frameworks, and distributed remote-first collaboration.
