Data Center Project Manager

Location: Livonia, Michigan, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $105,228.33–$146,720.00, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Lead data center projects from startup through commissioning, ensuring timely execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules covering milestones and deliverables.
• Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and project modifications.
• Oversee functional and integrated system testing, with a focus on thermal execution and chilled water systems.
• Manage and mentor onsite technicians and coordinate with design, construction management, engineering, and client services teams.
• Engage customers, resolve technical issues, and support post-installation follow-up.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, completion of an industry training program, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience and a background managing projects in data centers, industrial environments, or HVAC.
• Expertise in thermal execution, chilled water, or water-cooling systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of complex data center infrastructure.
• Experience with project management tools and software.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and team-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with integrated system testing, commissioning, and functional testing.
• Experience across colocation facilities and hyperscale data center sites.
