Data Center HVAC Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Livonia, Michigan, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $105,228.33–$146,720.00

What you will do

• Lead data center projects from startup through commissioning, maintaining schedules, milestones, deliverables, and scope changes.
• Oversee functional and integrated system testing of data center sites and thermal equipment.
• Provide technical oversight for thermal execution, chilled water systems, and complex mechanical infrastructure.
• Manage and mentor onsite technicians while coordinating with design, construction management, engineering, and client services.
• Engage with customers, resolve technical issues, and ensure projects meet specifications, quality standards, and industry best practices.
• Support post-installation follow-up to verify operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, completion of an industry training program, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of relevant experience managing projects in data center, industrial, or HVAC environments.
• Expertise in thermal execution, especially chilled water or water cooling systems.
• Experience with project commissioning, functional testing, or integrated system testing is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, organizational skills, and proficiency with project management tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for leading teams and working with technical staff and customers.
