Consultant, Application Development (C#.NET, SQL Server, Azure)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain enterprise-scale applications involving multiple back-end systems.
• Deliver solutions that improve compliance and reporting efficiency for regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
• Plan technical architecture, development approaches, database choices, utilities, and testing strategies.
• Develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business and technology goals.
• Lead complex projects, development team activities, and code-review sessions.
• Mentor intermediate and senior developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and problem solving.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with C#.NET, object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and production-ready code.
• Strong SQL Server skills, including stored procedures, joins, indexes, query optimization, and SSIS.
• Knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, unit testing, and automation testing.
• Ability to design application infrastructure and coordinate complex programming activities.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada at the specified location; a valid work or study permit may be required.
• Ability to collaborate, lead technical discussions, mentor developers, and adapt to evolving technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Cloud, particularly Azure Functions and Azure Blob Storage.
• Experience designing or implementing microservices.
