Senior .NET Backend Developer (Digital Banking)

Location: 100% remote, candidates must be based in Canada

Salary: CAD $90K–$120K annually

What you will do

• Architect and build scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise systems with C# and .NET.
• Develop and integrate APIs and services for complex digital banking platforms and mission-critical client projects.
• Design, document, and secure RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API, Swagger/OpenAPI, JWT, OAuth2, and Azure AD.
• Apply Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, microservices, and Agile delivery practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and DevOps engineers while mentoring teammates and taking end-to-end ownership.
• Debug systems, tune performance, and maintain reliable Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with C# and .NET Framework/Core.
• 3+ years building APIs and services with .NET 6/7/8 and ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Professional services experience delivering complex projects involving digital banking platforms such as Forge, Plumery, VeriPark, Temenos, or Backbase.
• Proficiency with Azure services, SQL databases, Git, Azure DevOps, xUnit, Moq, AutoMapper, and System.Text.Json.
• Ability to work remotely while based in Canada, with strong communication, analytical, debugging, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, banking, or fintech.
• Integration experience with core banking systems or third-party financial APIs.
• Experience with CQRS and MediatR, Docker, Redis, distributed caching, or event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of API versioning, performance optimization, OWASP, and secure coding practices.
