Senior Software Engineer, C++

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work model

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support scalable, reliable, and secure applications using C++ and MVC.
• Work with technical leaders, architects, and Scrum team members to deliver solutions.
• Analyze and execute application architecture based on technical and business requirements.
• Improve products through an understanding of business models and market needs.
• Support business-critical applications and middleware services, including fourth-tier problem management under ITIL V3.
• Create technical documentation and contribute to Scrum/Agile project planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a C++ environment.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong experience designing and developing real-time business applications.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, SDLC processes, Agile/Scrum, and release/change management.
• Experience with source code management systems such as Git or SVN.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit.

Nice to have

• Exposure to ServiceNow, Jira, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and automation concepts.
