Medical Assistant - Rockford, IL 24 hours/week with PTO & Benefits

Location: Rockford, Illinois, United States; onsite clinic role, 24 hours per week.

Pay range: $21.00–$25.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support a primary care physician and deliver an exceptional patient experience.
• Room patients, clean and stock exam rooms, review medical information, and collect updated health data.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Handle scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, specialist coordination, and documentation.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients as directed by the provider.
• Participate in patient outreach, care-gap initiatives, and maintenance of clinical supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is preferred and required in states where certification or registration is mandated.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
