Technical Staff Engineer-Design (Digital Logic)

Location: Full-time onsite work in Hauppauge, New York, or Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Annual base salary: $91,000–$232,000 USD, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of integrated circuits with embedded microcontrollers, cryptographic algorithms, firmware, and supporting hardware.
• Provide technical direction across multiple teams and projects while collaborating with product managers, architects, and stakeholders.
• Define technical requirements and project scope, and guide system- and device-level architecture decisions.
• Support clock-domain crossing, synthesis, DFT, timing closure, power, and logical issue resolution.
• Review code, design documents, and specifications while identifying technical risks and bottlenecks.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards, processes, and tools.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in technical disciplines related to ASIC design.
• Experience with architecture and micro-architecture, synthesis, static timing analysis closure, DFT, floor planning, IO pad ring design, and analog IP integration.
• Knowledge of cryptographic and security design concepts and countermeasures.
• Ability to work with specifications including eSPI, QSPI, I3C, cryptographic security functions, RISC MPU/NPU, and AXI.
• Must work onsite at one of the two USA locations: Hauppauge, NY, or Colorado Springs, CO.

Nice to have

• C, Verilog, VHDL, Unix/Linux shell, Perl, Python, Ruby, Makefile, and revision management experience.
• Experience with CAD tools for synthesis, timing analysis, formal verification, ATPG, simulation, RTL code analysis, and mask layout.
• Lab skills, test equipment experience, Agile methodologies, and modern development practices.
