Maintenance Technician

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; onsite 12-hour shifts

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production and facilities equipment, documenting completed work.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using diagnostic tools, schematics, gauges, hand tools, and test equipment.
• Disassemble equipment and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures.
• Identify recurring failures, improve or create preventive maintenance procedures, and recommend reliability improvements.
• Support manufacturing process improvements, capital and engineering projects, and minor facility infrastructure installation and repairs.
• Maintain safe working conditions, resolve equipment and building safety issues, and comply with department safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma and/or associate or technical degree, plus 1+ year of direct equipment maintenance experience or equivalent experience with exceptional results.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, troubleshooting discipline, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Hillsboro on a 12-hour shift, remain on your feet, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while following safety requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• High- and low-voltage electrical experience with 12V, 24V, 120V, and 480V systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems, including Parker and SMC systems.
• Experience training junior maintenance personnel.
