Senior Manager, Back-End Engineering (Java)

Location: Hyderabad, India; hybrid work with at least 3 days in the office per week and up to 2 days from home

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and direction for engineering organizations building scalable, extendable, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Build high-performing engineering teams by hiring experienced individual contributors.
• Partner with business, product, and engineering leaders to identify growth and efficiency opportunities.
• Drive mission-critical projects and solve complex business and system problems.
• Improve operational excellence through metrics definition, measurement, and reporting.
• Mentor and coach managers and technical leaders on career development.

Requirements

• 12+ years of industry experience with increasing responsibility leading engineering teams.
• 5+ years managing software development, including hands-on architecture experience delivering innovative and mission-critical systems.
• Experience creating a vision, influencing cross-functionally, and leading technology organizations toward ambitious goals.
• Experience leading global distributed teams and building high-performance engineering organizations.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering scalable, highly available products and services using Java, AWS, and big data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
