Tech Lead/Engineering Manager (Java)

What you will do

• Design and architect well-engineered products across multiple product lines.
• Lead software development from strategy and direction-setting through day-to-day execution.
• Improve customer experience through stronger functionality, usability, and simplicity.
• Establish engineering and operational excellence metrics, processes, and development frameworks.
• Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, resource allocation, and project timelines.
• Lead individual contributors by setting objectives, reviewing performance, defining growth plans, and supporting development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field.
• 7–13 years of experience managing software projects from inception to launch and building enterprise systems.
• At least 2 years of direct people management experience.
• Experience with large-scale Java and JSP applications and a strong understanding of the web stack.
• Understanding of distributed systems, relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, message brokers, and application containers.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Test-Driven Development.
